Can we able to customize the app for our servers?
Like exploring it in an emulator kind of thing?
You can customize "somekind" the layout, like adding fields and stuff, but only for IOS native client.
You can't connect with a web browser for example. You could do some reverse engineering, but that would make a lot of work...
At wwrug13 there was talking about HTML5 but I don't know if it'll be use by the mobility product and I don't have a timeframe. Maybe you could ask BMC about it?
I don't remember, is there Flash on Windows Phone? Maybe you could create special views for the forms for mobile access and find a way to use those views.
Maybe you can also check with "Mobile Reach" (http://mobilereach.com/solutions-overview/splitware-mobile-service-management/) but it seems it's only Android / Ios too...
The Doc was very helpful.
But i cant find the "BMC Mobility for BMC Remedy Service Desk 8.1.00" installable in EPD.
I think i have oly limited access. Can anyone share me the installable?
Any support would be helpful.
I can't do that ^_^
Maybe you should ask your BMC representative?
Mobile Reach Splitware currently supports iOS, Android, Blackberry, and Windows Mobile. Windows Phone support is not currently available, however it is one of the items under consideration for development. Advantages of the Splitware product suite include:
- Applications are native to the device (no HTML5) and therefore can operate with or without internet connectivity (on or offline applications).
- The App Studio tool offers enables rapid development of customized applications for Remedy systems (even heavily customized Remedy Applications)
- A services engagement can be arranged where Mobile Reach will develop the required applications and assist and support through the successful launch.
For more information, go to the Remedy Applications portion of the company website.
Mobility NextGen 8.1 is the latest offering from BMC but currently it doesn't support Windows Phone,
Below are some pointers about the Mobility NextGen 8.1`
-Mobilizes OOB Incidents and Approvals
-Blackberry, iPhone, iPad, Android tablets and phones
-iPhone, Android phones
Mobility NexGen 8.1 supports only field level customization.
Mobility Classic is another product it supports windows Phone but only Windows Mobile smart phones (5x /6x).
Are there a lot of people using Windows Phone? I mean, I do not personally know anybody who has one.
Even so, Windows Phone is on the development roadmap for the Mobile Reach Spltiware solution.
Given the fact that Microsoft has ignored mobility for the past decade and Windows 8 was such a disaster, I cannot see a lot of companies implementing Windows Phone in any broad sense. Until Microsoft's future is less shaky, I would think that companies will stick to iOS and Android. They are the market leaders right now. With iOS providing the more stable development and deployment platform.
But that is just my 2 cents. And since it was free, worth exactly what you paid for it.
I'm a windows phone user. wondering if MyIT for WP is already in development, or will never happen? Thank you.
Kind of sad that there's no MyIT for me.
Have you tried the MyIT Universal Client in the web browser?
With windows platform now supporting universal apps using XAML and C# you can write one app and cover all the windows platforms. Windows phone is growing in the enterprise space for sure. I believe they finally over took BlackBerry for the #3.
Could pls give some more information on MyITServer? its installation and configuration part?
