yes - if you look in the various conditions, one of them should be to look at the symlink and its target.
Thank you Bill,
I had a look at the properties and conditions and I was able to find 3 properties relating to the symlink
but I was unable to find a condition that will return the target permissions.
My check is a simple one:
"File:/var/temp/bla".permissions (Unix) (Unix)" = "0640"
the results only returns the /var/temp/bla permission 0777 not the target file permissions.
yeah - there doesn't seem to be any attributes like 'symbolic link target permissions' to use here.
Is there a plan to get this fixed or a workaround to use until it is fixed?
The only workaround here would be an extended object to handle this. adding the additional checks to check the attributes of the link target and not the link will probably be consdiered an enhancement which we track on the 'ideas' section.
