    Sending Soap requests

    Chris NameToUpdate

We are sending a SOAP request to a service and expecting a certain response back.  A "synthetic transaction".  But it seems the request needs edited very detailed and granular.  I am suppose to edit each and every line of this request?   Here is an example:

      "<p:userName xsi:type=\"xsd:string\" "

      "xmlns:xs4xs=\"http://www.w3.org/2001/xmlSchema\" "

      "xmlns:p=\"http://domain.com/customHeader\" "

      "xmlns:out9=\"http://www.domain.com/svcs/backtest/v0/BacktestItem\" "

      "xmlns:out8=\"http://www.domain.com/svcs/backtest/v0/ErrorDetails\" "

      "xmlns:out7=\"http://www.domain.com/svcs/backtest/v0/testErrorRecordBO\" "

      "xmlns:out6=\"http://www.domain.com/svcs/backtest/v0/BacktestHeader\" "

      "xmlns:out5=\"http://www.domain.com/svcs/backtest/v0/SourcedItemRecord\" "

      "xmlns:out4=\"http://www.domain.com/svcs/backtest/v0/BacktestResponse\" "

      "xmlns:out3=\"http://www.domain.com/svcs/backtest/v0/CancelledItem\" "

      "xmlns:out2=\"http://www.domain.com/svcs/backtest/v0/PartsDetails\" "

      "xmlns:out16=\"wsdl.http://www.domain.com/svcs/backtest/v0/IM_BacktestResponseSvc\" "

      "xmlns:out15=\"http://www.domain.com/svcs/backtest/v0/TransferredItem\" "

      "xmlns:out14=\"http://www.domain.com/svcs/backtest/v0/ItemError\" "

      "xmlns:out13=\"http://www.domain.com/svcs/backtest/v0/IM_BacktestResponseSvc\" "

      "xmlns:out12=\"http://www.domain.com/svcs/backtest/v0/GriefItem\" "

      "xmlns:out11=\"http://www.domain.com/svcs/backtest/v0/HeldItem\" "

      "xmlns:out10=\"http://www.domain.com/svcs/backtest/v0/FutureDatedItem\" "

      "xmlns:out=\"http://www.domain.com/svcs/backtest/v0/CreditHeldItem\" "

      "xmlns:io6=\"http://www.w3.org/2005/08/addressing\" "

      "xmlns:io5=\"http://www.ibm.com/xmlns/prod/websphere/http/sca/6.1.0\" "

      "xmlns:io4=\"http://www.ibm.com/websphere/sibx/smo/v6.0.1\" "

      "xmlns:io3=\"http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope\" "

      "xmlns:io2=\"http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2004/08/addressing\" "

      "xmlns:io=\"http://www.ibm.com/xmlns/prod/websphere/mq/sca/6.0.0\" "

      ">tmart</p:userName>"

Notice the \ slash and " around each line.  Some of these requests are quite large, this one in particular is only a small % of the entire request body.  Is this normal procedure for sending a SOAP request?  Why can I not just paste the request somewhere?
