I haven't tried to patch Windows 7 but it is on the supported list so I see no reason why it wouldn't work
You say you have loaded the x86 client - is this a 32 bit installation of Windows 7 ?
Also how is the client added to the console FQDN/IP address - could be simple name resolution or DHCP IP address change - after all it is a desktop
In order to manage and automate patching for Desktop, you should use Bladelogic Client Automation.
Bladelogic Server Autmation is for server class, technically it is possible to patch desktop provided you have created patch catelogue for windows 7 and agent installed on desktop.
Which product you are talking about?
I have successfully patched 64bit Windows 7 with BSA. The problem you describe is not a patching problem per se, but as Mike said and setup/network issue.
Thanks for the answers.
I am using BSA 8.3 installed x86 client. I added the workstation using IP address and tried with the hosts names as well. I am getting the same result in the patch analysis results. I can easily browse the workstation in BSA console and view all everything. Not sure it can not resolve the issue if the DNS is the problem.
Did you install an agent on it? The client has no bearing here.
