          Need some additional context. What version of BSA is this? What version of the offline downloader are you using? Was this working before and is now failing, or is this failing on a new catalog you're trying to create? Can you post the contents of the offline config.xml you are using?

            BSA version 8.2.02 and os downloader version is 8.2.02 . Its failiing on new catalog creation , earlier its udating successfuly

              it looks like you have some dashes before some of the xml tags in the config file - (subscription and os-arch-filter) - i don't think that's correct.  can you remove those and run the downloader?  also - could you attach the entire configuration file and downloader.log ?

                Yeah, I think your formatting is wrong. If you copy/paste from Internet Explorer it would throw those - characters in there. I would recommend using Notepad++ or another text editor rather than IE. It should look like this:

                <oel-downloader-config>

                     <config>

                          <temporary-location>/tmp</temporary-location>

                          <payload-repository-location>/opt/oelpatch/oel5_32</payload-repository-location>

                          <download-request-retries>10</download-request-retries>

                          <download-request-timeout>180000</download-request-timeout>

                          <downloader-parallel-threads>10</downloader-parallel-threads>

                     </config>

                     <subscription>

                          <os-arch-filter>

                               <os>OEL5</os>

                               <arch>x86</arch>

                               <channel-label>ol5_UEK_i386_latest</channel-label>

                          </os-arch-filter>

                     </subscription>

                </oel-downloader-config>

                    Did you ever find out if this was fixed?  I'm running into the same issue and I'm first going to take the advice of Joe P.

                      Rob, what OS and channel(s) are you attempting to download?

                        Examples for the <subscription> section. You can use the -listChannels argument to get the proper syntax of the channels you want. The true/false values are the defaults for the RPMs you want to include and can be changed accordingly.
