Use blcli commands to export the Job. If you export the job, which export dependencies also such as packages.
Write simple nsh script which export the Jobs based on some creteria (Date) and delete the Job and dependencies.
Then run clean-up utility.
If you want to restore back, import the exported files.
here's something to think about - the older object versions will not import into newer bsa versions, so unless you track the version you exported from and keep copies of old bsa versions around to import back into, exporting won't do you much good over the long term if you will have a need to restore any of these objects. it may be easier to store your db and file server backups, which could be restored to a temporary install of the particular version of bsa you need and you could restore whatever you need from there.
you will also need to actually delete the objects, not just export them... and you should review the database cleanup paper: https://docs.bmc.com/docs/display/public/bsa83/Cleaning%2Bup%2Bthe%2BBMC%2BServer%2BAutomation%2BDatabase
when you say it's difficult to open up a particular job do you mean it's slow to open (probably you need to run cleanup to help performance) or it's hard to find things (you need to figure out what you can delete) ?
Its grate link to learn it. Thanks for your suggestions.
