    RESTful web service to execute an NSH script job

    Mike Reider

      hi all, Im trying to execute a NSH script job by passing a RESTful call through URL on a client box.

      I have a NSH job called AddServers and I am passing this call from a managed client box to the App Server,

      https://bsaserver:9843/group/Jobs/NSH/addServers/Operations/execute?username=BLAdmin&password=myPassword&role=BLAdmins

      Im getting this result,

        <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>

      - <RESTXMLResponse>

      - <ErrorResponse>

        <Error>Resource not found. Invalid URI: 'Operations' is not a valid child type of AddServers</Error>

        </ErrorResponse>

        </RESTXMLResponse>

      The BMC docs mention that I can kick off a job with a REST call like this,

      https://localhost:9843/group/Jobs/folder/snapshotJob/Operations/execute?username

      ="BLAdmin"&password=""&role="BLAdmins"

      Not sure why Im getting Invalid URI error
