why do you need a nsh script here? why don't you do this in the 'post-install' BOX (not job) of the system package?
echo in the DHCP_HOSTNAME into the ifcfg-eth0 file there.. ? then after reboot it should auto-register, assuming dns allows that.
I didnt find any post install box there. I'm getting post install box for a windows template but for a linux template i'm not getting it.
it's there, perhaps you need to click on the '>>' that's on the far right in the list of tabs of the system package.
this seems to be a virtual guest package - and it seems to be for windows based on the name. i do not think you are looking at the correct object here.
are you deploying linux w/ a vm template or a bare-metal build and system package ?
Its a linux VM template. I got the solution for this bill as per your suggestion.
To make the DNS entry automatically we need to add
echo DHCP_HOSTNAME=$HOSTNAME >>/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0
