What are your thoughts on the BSA Best Practices Webinars?

On June 11th, BMC will be hosting our 7th BSA Best Practices Webinar.

      (Details here: https://communities.bmc.com/communities/docs/DOC-21692)

So I had a few questions:

Are you attending?  If not, have you seen the recordings?

Any feedback or the format, content, etc?
Any thoughts on what topics you would like to see in the future?

We would love to see these webinars assist as many people and cover pertinent topics as possible.  Please let us know what we can do to make the series more valuable.

I attended and will be attending, these webinars are excellent and easy to follow. Especially someone who newly implementing Blade on their environments. Two concerns, the video/voice quality of the recording in youtube is not SO great. The length of the webinar is too long. Good thing is Sean divide the content into phases which is a great thing.

I would like to have a better understanding of end-to-end process workflow of the different types of activities/jobs, including troubleshooting tips.  A lot of stuff goes on "under the covers" or "behind the scenes" so I think that a better understanding of the process flow wouldl help me focus on the correct areas when customers report problems.

            I'm looking for

            - which BSA components are involved (and in what sequence)

            - what commands or programs get executed (including variables/arguments/parameters)

            - what files are read or written (including any transient files)

Some initial end-to-end workflow examples may include:

            - User logon (with the different security mechanims are configured)

            - User Logoff

            - Application Server start up/shutdown.

            - Catalog Update Job

            - Patch Analysis Job

            - Patch Depoloy Job

            - Live Browse

            - Cleanup

            Thanks & Regards,

            Jim

I think the webinars are very useful.  I attend when they are going on.  I echo Jim's desire to see some more internal stuff but, I am afraid that many users would not want that deep a drill down.

My thought is perhaps we should get engineering to run some internals webinars for the deep drill down that would really help support people.

              Thanks

              Joe
