In VGP / VGJ have you selected the option Customize OS.
The customised coonfigurations only get applied if this option is selected.
Yes i have selected it , and then only we can push password / domain / NIC settings etc.. but in my case VM is not getting any customization settings.. after being deployed
Before creating the VM Template ahve you installed VMWare tools on it.
Without VMWare tools installed on VM, it won't allow to customize it.
Please try this.
i have installed vmware tools , still not getting any custom info in newly created VM

I hopoe you followed below steps:
- Created new VM
- Installed 2k3/2k8
- installed vmware tools
- converted to VM Template
- created VGP with this VM Template
- Create VGJ
- Configured custom settnigs in VGP & VGJ
- Selected the customize OS option
- Test VGP Provsioning.
This should happen in above sequence.
if you did the same, then please share csm logs.
i don't think you mean 'csm' logs - i think you mean the 'blcoserver' logs from the vcenter server.
also - let's back up a little - first - if you use only vmware (no bsa) and do the clone operation, does that pickup all your customization settings properly ?
when you run the VGJ to do this in bsa, is there an error in the job? does the job complete successfully ?
I just thought that, the issue is regarding VGP provisioning for CLM.
@Raj: please share blcoserver logs of vCenter Server as Bill mentioned.
Also look into job status, if there are any warnings/errors.
please share it.
I tested my templates and found there is an issue with customization settings at vmware level itself , so rectifying those first.
Will post the latest.
Thanks for all suggestions.
