It is not straight fwd, what you are trying to achieve here?
Below are the command to get DB key of property class, from this you can take it fwd:
blcli_execute Template getDBKeyByGroupAndName /TEST_CASES TOMCAT
blcli_execute Template getPropertySetClass
I don't really understand what "getPropertySetClass" gives me. As it doesn't take any parameters and the only thing it returns is the following message:
"PSC Component Template : Every Component Template is an Instance of this Class"
What are you trying achieve here? I can provide you different commands.
I need to extract the Property Class (fully qualified name) from the local property called ENV.
This is in order to automate the linkage between local property instance and global property class instance.
I am trying to automate the following tasks ...
1. Create property class instance
2. Link template local property instance to Property Class Instance
3. Create component(s)
4. Create component smart group(s)
oops..it is not simple use case. Currently I am @client place, will not be able to help you today. Let me try this weekend, update you.
Bill or someone will also help you.
If you are trying to set these values, why are you asking for a command to get the default values? wouldn't the value not be set ?
Each template has a property "ENV" pointing to a different Property Class. I need to extract this class name (not the instance) so that I can create a Template Local Property Instance (referring to that [Property Class]/[Instance])
So for Template1, you have an ENV property and that points to a custom class of Class://SystemObject/MyClass/MySubClass and the default value is Class://SystemObject/MyClass/MySubClass/Instance1. So you need to extract the later and create a new local instance in Template1 named 'Instance1' ? and each template will have only a single PSI ?
are any of these templates related - i mean would it make sense to have a single template w/ multiple local psi ?
That's exactly what I am trying to achieve.
Templates aren't related at all. They refer to separate applications.
So my script doesn't know which class it is referring to. Hence why I need to extract it.
