Is the PSEXEC listed in the path of the Helper Server?
PSEXEC is in the path.
I did see this thread but the error message is slightly different. I did contact the owner of the HIPS/AntiVirus Client and it doesn’t look like PSEXEC was prevented. Rather it ran out of memory. SA has recommended a reboot on the server. I will follow up once this has been completed.
I'm using 1.98.
Reboot did not resolve the issue
HIPS is not blocking
Thanks for performing those tasks. Can you attach the error.log that is listed in the csv?
I would but it doesn’t get created. I’ve checked, several times.
Ok no worries. I was reading through some of the other posts on similar issues and one of the tests to confirm was the following:
Per Jim Wilson:
1. Basic UNC connection to admin$ share test
Here's one way:
From Windows Explorer, go Tools => Map Network Drive
Paste this into the Folder edit box:
If this is successful, proceed with the next test. If not, then this needs to be resolved, as access to the admin$ share on the remote target is essential.
2. Further psexec test
If the first test is successful, and you can connect to the remote admin$ share, test psexec as follows.
2.1If the UNC connection worked without prompting for a user/password
psexec \\IP_OF_SERVER notepad.exe
2.2If the UNC connection worked after you were prompted for and supplied a user/password
psexec \\IP_OF_SERVER -u <username> -p <password> notepad.exe
username/password should be the same as you used for the UNC connection test.
Have the C:\Windows folder and Task Manager ready on server and as soon as you press enter on the psexec command, check for thepsexesvc
I don’t have direct access to the server running psexec to test further. I would like to execute the install command remotely using PSEXEC.
Here is what I know. I know that PSEXEC is able to authenticate and get connected because the RSCD agent gets copied to the staging directory. I know that the install commands work because I’ve copied them out of the job log and pasted it into a command line and the agent was installed successfully.
I feel as though there maybe a syntax issue with the command being executed through psexec.
What version of BLadelogic is installed?
What version of Bulk Agent installer you are using?
What is the Taarget Server OS?
You are telling RSCD agent is getting copied, command is getting failed. Might be UAC is stopping?
BladeLogic is 8.2.03.416, server is W2K3 x86. Yes the RSCD agent is getting copied to the staging directory. No UAC on W2K3.

Are you using standalone bulk agent installer or Universal Agent Installer which is bundled within BBSA Console?
Can you post the job log here?
