    File Deploy Error

We have setup Automation Principals and are testing removing the BladelogicRSCD user off of some servers. I have been able to remove the local user from a server today and can run a file deploy job as BLAdmin....when I attempt to run the job with a user who is not a full admin I get the error below. The weird thing is that the command will if the files already exist. I have attempting granting the bladelogic user all profiles within BL, still no luck. Has anyone experienced this before?

            HI Amanda,

Can you check whether you are able to browse the  filesystem of server with automation principal role?

if you are not able to browse, then you have not setup automation principal correctly.

            • 3. Re: File Deploy Error

I am able to do a browse with no issue, and the job runs fine if the files are local to the server.....I just do not seem to have access to the fileshare to copy the files over when doing a file deploy.

Is that share accessable by the Automation Principle? If it accessable, follow the below steps and send me entire log file (remove the customer related information):

                1.   Clean-up the rscd.log of problemetic machine

                2.    Then execute the Job, once job is completed and send me the entire rscd.log file to siddu.angadi@gmail.com

I believe the nsh client on the appserver needs to be configured to use the nsh proxy.  so you need to enable the nsh proxy in blasadmin and you need to modify the secure file on the appserver(s) to use it.

I believe we have the app server setup to use the nah proxy. I will double check the settings tomorrow.
