How are you triggering? are you using Set-VM [-VM]?
if so, below is the command:
Set-VM [-VM] <VirtualMachine> [-Name <String>] [-Version <VMVersion>]
why won't this work w/ a VGP ? what version of vcenter is this ?
we are not using VGP to create VMs, we are using BLpacakges with custom local properties. The vCenter is version 8, but we have older vCenters that are ver 7, when we create new VMs in the ver.8 vcenter, we have to make sure these VMs can run in the older vCenters.
in the BLpacakge settings for this VM (screenshot above), there is no vCenter version option.

if the option isn't in the blpackage then i'm not sure if there is anything you can do. what version does the blpackage default to ?
