I was roaming through the community to check with your issue and found that : this could be the issur if proxy settings is not configured properly in the environment..can you ping the server ??also check proxy settings, logs etc
also check this thread..it might be useful
There are only 2 ways to licesne the agent.
- Manual (uploading the license.dat file to bladelogic support site and download license file)
both require internet access.
So try solve your autolic problem, it might be proxy setting.
You can one more way. Anyway console is installed on any of your desktocp or laptop which is internet facing.
trigger the same autolic command against to laptop or desktop using AO with cmd adaptor.
Unfortunately we aren't running AO here yet so I cannot try that method.
I tried entering manual proxy settings from the autolic command (in NSH) on my desktop, but I am still getting the same errors. Is it possible the BladeLogic service on the server-side (BMC) is down?
Yes, it looks like it is unavailable at the moment.
BMC IT Service have been alerted and are working on the problem.
Bets advice is to try again a bit later...
I'll try to get someone to post an update here when the service is back
Thank you for confirming Jim!
This morning (my time - UK based) the Licensing Portal appears to be operative.
I believe that there will be a planned outage this weekend to perform further remediation/improvement work.
If this is to go ahead a formal announcement will be made.
BMC IT Services would like to know the details (time/error) of any other problems accessing the Licensing Portal, so please feel free to reply to this thread or contact the support team.
Thanks & Regards,
Jim (Forum Manager/Facilitator).
It appears to still be broken. Is there somewhere on BMC where we can see the status of this issue? I will also have my BladeLogic Support team submit a ticket with BMC for tracking purposes.
It is up, but is experiencing heavy loads which means that requests are not getting processed. I'm having only occasional success.
The only way I know of to check status is to run a license request and see what response you get.
I have alerted IT Services to the current status and they are looking into it.
I'll post any further news as and when I hear it...
Thanks & Regards,
We’re very actively monitoring the availability of the portal and it looks to us like it’s generally available, with the occasional spike or slow response.
Feel free to call me direct if you see an outage, but we’ve got some monitoring going while we work a remediation plan.
I just tested and the License Portal is currently responsive - looks like the earlier timeouts (heavy load?) may have eased.
I think (hope) we will see improved service after the updates planned for the weekend
For anyone not signed up to receive Flash Traffic:
The BMC Server Automation licensing portal will be unavailable from 10 PM EST on Saturday, March 9th, 2013 until 6 AM EST on Sunday, March 10th, 2013
During the outage, work will be undertaken to improve performance of the Licensing Portal.
Still experiencing issues with licensing. Working with Sean to see if it's possible to license the agents without accessing the licensing portal, a.k.a. a workaround.
is the licensing server (http://www.bladelogic.com/services/LicensingWS) still unaviable?
Im getting this error:
SOAP FAULT: SOAP-ENV:Server
Detail: HTTP/1.0 403 Forbidden
Unable to contact BladeLogic licensing service
