use netsh ?
I was hoping to do “rules-based compliance”. For example:
If name server = A, change name server to X
If name server = B, change name server to Y
Is there any way to do this using BladeLogic’s auditing and compliance features or do I have to write a script?

Not sure if this helps, but we do this using the following External Command in our BlPackage used to remediate our Compliance Rule checking DNS client config;
wmic nicconfig where (IPEnabled=TRUE and DHCPEnabled=FALSE) call setdnsserversearchorder ("??LP_DNS_NAMESERVER-1??","??LP_DNS_NAMESERVER-2??","??LP_DNS_NAMESERVER-3??")
1) We set the DNS search order the same on all servers at a given site
2) We are using local parameters and multiple components (based on PSI values) for site specific values
3) This wmic command allows easy way to set all interfaces that are IP and NOT DHCP!
4) Windows 2003+ should have wmic, Windows 2000 not by default
