RedHat Patch Catalog - Include 'Irrelevant' Packages in Job

    Eric Robeson

Our RedHat patch catalog got updated, but I do not want to deploy the latest kernel packages just yet. I can exclude the latest kernel RPM's in the job, but when I try to include the prior version I get "Cannot add irrellevant patches in the include/exclude list" error. To get around that I tried un-setting SOFTWARE_PATCH_STATUS_FLAGS* using 'blcli_execute DepotObject setPropertyValue $Key "SOFTWARE_PATCH_STATUS_FLAGS*" ""', but that returns "No Setter for Native/Transient Classfield' error.

Is there any way for me to deploy prior versions of RPM's in the catalog, or to back out a patch catalog update?
