What kind of job is this? Is it an OS job? Do you have its PID? Check if the process is still running.
Check the Tracker log in the proclog directory for errors.
Make sure the Tracker is running, submit a test short job like "ls" or "dir" and check if it finishes or hangs.
Try recycyling the Agent.

white lady is right it is a tracker related issue the simplest advise just restart the control-m agent service which runs this job in case of its agent based client.If its on remote then you have to look into the logs futher more maybe a firewall is blocking your communication
