I have decomissioned the server and deregisted the VCO and now it seems to have stopped hanging but I get this now: invalid web services login for <server name here>
Everything is correct in the Connection property instance.
The only different to when this was working is we changed the vcenter to authenticate against AD.
Does BBSA 8.1.02 work when vCenter is integrated to AD?

When you say everything is correct in the Connection property instance, is the user you have entered a domain account? If so, make sure you don't use the Domain field (leave it blank) and in the User field put the credentials in as domain\accountname format.
Thanks for your reply. I actually managed to fix this by using another account, it looks like it was vCenter permissions causing the issue.
I've still yet to compare the permissions to find out what the issue is.
