    PROBLEM RELATED TO USER PASSWORDS IN BBSA 8.2.02

    Somnath Shilimkar

      Hi All,

                can anybody help me in this issue. I am trying to install BBSA 8.2.02 on redhat 5.x ( BBSA82-SP2-LIN64.sh)

      now the setup is as follows

      1) Database Server OS is --> Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition(Hostname- dbserver01)

      on which i have configured SQL SERVER 2008 R2

      for configuring i copied 82-SP2-external-files (which is latest) from BMC EPD

      2) AppServer (host name- APPSERVER02)

      64 bit os and i installed BBSA82-SP2-LIN64.sh successfully BUT

      ACTUAL PROBLEM IS HERE I FOUND IN POST-CONFIGURATON WIZARD

      PASSWORD FOT RBACAdmin and BLAdmin ARE NOT ALLOWED TO CHANGE

      IN PREVIOUS VERSION aka 8.2.01 .. i was able to put password.

      BUT now this passwords are coming by their own wish

      INSTALLATION DONE SUCCESSFULLY..

      BUT I DONT KNOW WHAT ARE PASSWORDS..SO I AM NOT ABLE TO LOGIN VIA BBSA CONSOLE

      I TRIED FOLLOWING TO CHANGE PASSWORD on DATABASE

      delete from system_property where name = 'tpasswd.conf_created_on';

      update bluser set password = 'admin@123';

      commit;

      (It showed successful execution of this query after removing commit from above query)

      BUT could not work..

      means when i tried to LOGIN via BBSA CONSOLE..

      it showed --> SRP failure

      NOW I AM HELPLESS

      I EVEN TRY TO blappconf  which is in bin directory of bbsa installation..

      but it showed above pasted image (means password field is read only)

      ATTACHED FILE IS IMAGE WHICH SHOWS ACTUAL PROBLEM..

      WHERE I CAN SEE USER PASSWORDS (BLAdmin and RBACAdmin) and can change them as per my requirement..
