    Marimba Web Interface Down

      Share This:

I'm having an issue this morning getting to the web interface for Marimba.  This is running on http://marimba:8888 ... I am able to get to http://marimba:5282 , so the repository is up.  Any ideas on how I should troubleshoot this?  I have restarted the server/services, looked at event logs, nothing.  I need to know where I can look to see what the issue might be.

Thank you so much for you help.  I'm stuck here.

I would say the CMS channel is corrupt.

              1) shutdown the tuner

              2) create a copy/backup of the CMS channel's data directory

              3) start tuner

              4) delete the CMS channel

              5) subscribe to the CMS channel

              6) check to see if the channel starts properly and you can access it via your browser

              7) if #6 then stop channel and selectly replace the cfg files from the prior CMS channel directory backup (i don't recall the specific file locations and names off the top of my head. there are postings within the forum that explain which ones.)

                Jake,

                Thank you!

Dumb question, to delete and resubscribe to the channel and I need to run channel manager on the server to do so correct?  If thats the case, its not running.  I might be doing it wrong though.

I'll search the forums about the CFG files, I only have .txt files w/ parameters in the /data directory.

I was able to get it to launch by doing

                  mstsc /admin

                  • 6. Re: Marimba Web Interface Down

This is very interesting.  The web interface works.  However, it changed ports on me!  It was on 8888.  Now it son 8889.  Why the heck would it do that?  Thats ODD

                    • 7. Re: Marimba Web Interface Down

Actually that isn't odd. its by design. The CMS adapter will try to bind to 8888 however if it fails (be/c that port number is taken) it will increment the number until it successfully binds.

I would figure out what is binding to 8888. It might be an old handle that wasn't able to be cleaned up.

The worst case is you will need to reboot.
