Based on the install guide. The below hardware would work for Linux.
■ Available RAM: 6 GB
■ Available hard disk space: 7 GB
■ Dual processor: 3 GHz
For each additional, complex application, an additional 2 GB of disk space is required.
Note For certain environments, BMC Software recommends increased hardware requirements. Using Oracle on HP-UX and installing all language packs, for example, requires a minimum of 8 GB available RAM.
Stack installer might have issue with mid-tier. I saw posting here about it. I would do the stack installer if your in a rush and fix the mix-tier issue. If not, you should do it following order:
1. AR Server
2. CMDB/AIE (do custom)
4. Any other you've purchased like SRM

Can you please provide reference to
Minimum HARDWARE Requireiments for complete installation.
- Pleas refer installation guide for the same
Also Software requirement like Oracle version and java version for the same and any other software requirement.\
- Please check the 7.6.04 compatibility matrix to get version details of the software.
Any additional suggestion will be helpful.
One more query is that when if i install whole ITSM suite which include ARS 7.6, CMDB and all ITSM modules at same time at one go, are there any issues faced.
WHICH IS BEST STRATEGY .?
ONE BY ONE INSTALLATION LIKE first ARS and on it CMDB and then ITSM 7.6
WHOLE INSTALLATION AT ONE GO which automatically installs ARS, Then CMDB and then ITSM 7.6 modules
- For 7.6.04 we have installation stack available so we can use the same.
Let me know if you need more info.
you can install AR Server, CMDB,ITSM, SRM,SLM, and RKM at one go using the preconfigured stack installer for 7.6.04. You can download the BMC Remedy ITSM Suite Preconfigured Stack Installer 7.6.04 for Red Hat Linux 5 Update 5 on Oracle 11g from EPD.
As you want it to install on Linux you need below hardware requirement for preconfigured installer:
- Minimum 12 GB free disk space for the installation directory.
- Minimum 8 GB free space for local database and remote database.
- For Red Hat Enterprise Linux Minimum of 2.5 GB free space in the /tmp directory or /tmp file system.
- 3 GHz dual processor.
- Minimum of 3 GB free RAM during installation; 8 GB RAM during runtime; 8 GB main memory for optimal performance.
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 (Update 5) (64-bit) with Oracle 11g (64-bit)
- 64-bit JRE and 64-bit JDK
Please note that BMC remedy ITSM Suite preconfigured stack installer supports only Unicode
There can be issues with SSI but its a good practice if you want all components at one go. If you do not have SSI then you can install it one by one with the regular installers.
Just to complete, SSI has a limited options to choose at installations (modules components, options...) and installs all locales, so it requires an extra RAM compared to regular individual installers.
Though, as it's a simple binary copy + database restore, it's way way way way faster to install than individual installers.
SSI is ok for test rigs, but I'm not personaly comfortable using it for a customer.
Thank you very much Shantanu,JDmand, younso, Laurent for additional info
Information was very helpful.
