Please go through the White Paper Service Management Process Model Role Mapping to IT Service Management . It will help you to find the more details about the SMPM roles and the their mapping to ITSM.
Yes, I know this document, but this is just a mapping between roles, my doubt is about SMPM roles what is its purpose or real funcionality?
the SMPM Roles you listed are used to classify (describe) the different Role/Function individuals in your Company will perform with respect to the application..
You then apply the appropriate ITSM Permissions based on the Role/Functions that the person will perform.
The Role/Function responsibilities (Actions) is described in the White Paper that Shantanu has mentioned.
Ok, And what about the mapping between SMPM ROLES and the modules out of ITSM : Service Level Management, IT Bussiness Management, or Knowledge Management.??
I have not found any white paper with this purpose. And the white paper you mentioned is about ITSM permissions.
please read the available information on SMPM and re-read the comments already posted regarding SMPM Roles.
SMPM is a "Guide" and a tool to help your organisation understand the ITSM Applications and provides a means for you to update Work Instructions and modify the process to match your companies processes - this in turn helps the user when they launch SMPM from within the BMC products to "guide" the user through the process.
It is customisable to suit your organisations processes and therefore it is somewhat expected that you update the information to meet your requirements.
It does not cover all BMC supplied applications at present, but there will be updates in future releases to include additional applications/information.
ok, thank you very much for the answers.
