Actually if you look at the mid-fiter guide (I only have the 7.6.03 here next to my coffee), it's more something like:
your link should work.
Is it on your form or on 'HPD:Help Desk' or other ITSM ticket form?
If yes than consider use of value from EntryID field (fieldid=1 aka RequestId). Incident Number is stored in field with id=1000000161. Change Management and Problem Management works quite the same way.
The way proposed by Laurent works as well.
More information about weblink structure specified i.e. in 'BMC Remedy Mid Tier Guide 7.6.04' page 78.
We are on 7.1 Mid-Tier actually, and it is a custom-built form. Still, it should render eid = Request_ID. I'm thinking we need to move to 7.6 for this to work...?
when you see the URL in the email does it replace the name of the form with keywords? like ":" in the same of the form being replaced by "%3A"
if I am trying to open HPD:HelpDesk, my URL will be something like
The OOTB request id comes wth 15 characters and I see only 9 on the eid. Can you check if the DB size of the field is 9 or 15. If it is 15 make sure you pass 15 characters under eid.
version 7.1 or 7.6.04 should not matter in this case.
Please do the web report from unquilifyied search. Report should have RequestId (id=1) included. Report will show link to your ticket.
1. open in search
2. do the search
3. generate report; include $1$ i.e. EntryID or RequestID
4. run the report
That worked with all 15 characters, thank you so much! Now back to my other issues
