Is the RSCD_DIR property defined? You might need to run a USP job against those servers (or test by right-clicking the server and choosing verify, then run the job against that server again)
As suggested either run the Update Server properties Job or right click on the server and click verify. click on any other server and then again for the issue server check the properties tab RSCD_DIR Property, it would be populated. Re-run your patch analysis you will not get that error anymore.
Hi, KB site does not opens for me.
In my env, i am provisioning Linux server using BSA. For some reason if it fails and i resubmit same virtual guest job it fails for "Server ServareName: No property value defined for RSCD_DIR"
If i restart BSA appserver and then submit it goes ahead and passes.
I suspect it refers BSA cache somewhere but not sure where and what should be correct value to clean up cache instantly.
I modified /opt/bmc/bladelogic/NSH/br/java/lib/security/java.security file and made
networkaddress.cache.ttl to 0 and networkaddress.cache.negative.ttl to 5
is there anything else to change?
the changes you made in the java.security file change how long successful and failed lookups are cached by the appserver. so if you are re-using the same hostname but the ip changes then that may resolve the issue since the 1st usp run against the newly built target would resolve to the old ip and fail to gather any information (since there is no agent)
