Does the install restart the network or reboot the box?
What reboot options do you have on the deploy job?
Reboot options: (no package items required reboot) Use item defined reboot setting.
This is the same option, I used all the OS versions and only 2008 R1 i am getting this error
But does the actual install of trend micro restart the network on the box?
The installation commands using in package is as below:
msiexec /I "??SOURCE??" /qn ALLUSERS=1 REBOOT=ReallySupperss ADDLOCAL=all
(I don't want to reboot the server as it is in production, with new provisionings I can reboot after Trend Micro installation, before going on to next job in provisioning batch job)
Right, but I’m asking if the install itself will cause the network to drop. What might be happening is that the network drops, and the appserver loses touch w/ the agent. can you set the reboot type to ‘out-of-band’ and see if that let’s this succeed ?
I have checked the deploy job ontios and also Software package options, but I could not find "out-of-band - Reboot type"
I have given reboot server options (jobs) before and after the installation, but same error.
I am using this (Trend Micro Installation) as a seris of job in full stack provisioning.
Note: I have tryied to run this job alone and got sucess (with out the stack)
When I included in Stack I am getting this error...that to only on 2008 R1 64 & 32 bit.
It was success on 2003 R1 64 & 32 bit.
I have no clue....please help.
I have screen shots to attache, but how herde.
what do you mean by 'without the stack' ?
you still have not answered if this install will drop the network or not.
can you attach the screenshots and bldeploy log from the deploy? if you reply via email and attach the files it should work.
