you’re actually not asking for network shell to have an env setting here. that could be accomplished w/ a .nshrc file and that would modify the env of the nsh session.
as soon as you nexec out to a system you are no longer in nsh you are in the shell of the target system. so you are asking to modify the environment that you inherit on a target system when you nexec a shell on a target. one way to do that would be to change the rscd init script. you might also be able to modify the /etc/profile or put something in /etc/profile.d (linux)
