        Hello,

I receive this message "ARWARN 9862" (No free application user floating write license are available. Currently accessing the application form in read-only mode. License will upgrade when one is available.) in the REQ and CRQ approval screen . This message doesn't preclude approval but I don't understand why it was displayed if we don't need a license to approve REQ and CRQ.

        1) Why does this message appear?
        2) How can I delete this message?
        3) This message damages the functionality?

        4) Approvers who use Approval Server with ITSM require license?

Note: This scenario is for ARS 9.1

        Regards,

What is the hotfix number last you applied? Do you have license pools ? or all licenses are at server level? Have you turned on the user log , api log , sql log to see what is going on? Please share the user log which shows the assignment and release of license counts.

If you don't have license pools then i will suggest to apply the latest hotfix and it should take of your issue if you have license pools then I feel your pain.

            Mohamad,

This problem only occurred once and with a single user. The user has floating license change and fixed platform. I haven't logs of this moment. They're disabled. And the problem only occurred once.

Note:  Action Request System(R) Server Version 9.1.00 201609160222

            My main doubtimage.png is:

            1) Why did this message appear?

            2) There isn't documentation that the license is required to approve (REQ or CRQ).

            3) Approvers who use Approval Server with ITSM require license?

Summarizing: There aren't logs and the problem only happened once. I need information about the above doubts.

            What do you recommend?

            Regards,

Someone who has expertise with Licensing model can explain better, My understanding is user will require the write token (Change) to approve the approval because upon approval/rejection workflow kicks off to update the underneath join forms data thats why you need write token license.

Best way to troubleshoot is login as user who has this issue and in the meanwhile login with another user with similar license and permissions and turned on the logs (user, api, sql filter) and also review the license. I will also suggest to apply the latest hotfix which had more fixes related to license release. It is hard to explain the reason until the issue is persistent.

My suggestion to turn on the logs (if possible) and wait for reoccurrence.

                - Comment: In version 7.6 was this?

                - Comment: Is there documentation for this information for version 9.1?

As I said, I am not expert. I will shout out to SME Saroj Sahu , Shiv Manakshe for your questions.
