    How to compare httpd.conf files between different server ?

    JeanMichel GUY

      Hello,

      How to compare httpd.conf files between different server ? Using a Component Template with a Local Configuration File parsed by the grammar httpd.conf but we have a mistake. The httpd.conf file contains multiples VirtualMachine entries and this entries have the server name as first value included in the tag as follow :

      <VirtualHost IEWMG-ROAR-01:81>

                RewriteEngine On

                ...

      </VirtualHost>

      <VirtualHost IEWMG-ROAR-01:80>

                RewriteEngine On

                ...

      </VirtualHost>

      Where IEWMG-ROAR-01 is the name of the server. So we want to use the ??HOST?? property to be able to compare all parameters of the httpd.conf file without depandence on the server name.

      How can we do that ?

      This is the audit result on this kind of VirtualHost entries on http.conf file.

      All VirtualHost entries sames to be missing on each file, instead of only a difference on the VirtualHost tag :

      <VirtualHost IEWMG-ROAR-01:80>

      ---

      <VirtualHost testbl1:80>

      How to check the VirtualHost entries in httpd.conf file using the httpd.conf grammar ?

      Thanks,

      Jean-Michel
