we (@Moviri) were looking into testing the AppDynamics-to-BCO integration via REST and had a simple proof of concept somehow working.
From my point of view, it looks very promising: if you are interested in further progress please let me know and I will keep you updated.
I´m very interested in how this evolves.. but ..How would I offer this to my customers?
It´s going to be part of BCO?
Or I need to license/buy something from Moviri?
I suggest you stay in contact with BCO Product Managers on those roadmap and packaging items.
Thank you for interest. Currently this remains a customization that can be implemented by our Professional Services or deployment Partners.
yes in the meanwhile we have implemented this integration a few times, it works pretty well
- it leverages the REST API that AppDynamics provides
- it works on SaaS and on-premise AppD
- it can import the application structure (Application>Tier) defined within AppD
- it gathers metrics for OS, JVM's and Business Drivers at the tier and node level
See below an example on how to monitor Capacity Optimization itself and organize each component (Datahub, scheduler, web, etc.) as a tier
Please contact me privately if you are interested in a packaged solution.
