Other options may be.. choosing between boot file for windows or linux (Instead of selecting default boot image from Provisioning configuration in Bladelogic each time)
The boot file is irrelevant really – that just gets the box to auto-register. Once it’s in blade you kick off a job and that will use the correct boot image to lay down the os.
Do you mean to say if gentoo image is loaded or WinPe.wim is loaded, will make no difference?

As long as the hardware boots w/ the ‘default’ boot image it will auto-register in blade. from there you can install whatever os you want and blade will figure out what to do.
So, for example, if you make Gentoo the default image, a target boots into Gentoo, then you decide to put windows on it. blade will see that it’s booted into Gentoo, reboot into winpe and start the install process.
