check permissions your role has against that server. verify the ACLs on the remote host are granting you write access. View the agent ACLs (either the exports, users, or users.local files) and make sure your Role and login have read/write (rw) access. What is in exports file on the solaris box?
I appreciate your prompt response. Unfortunately the config files are OK, same files on other boxes which however were successfully licensed...
can you telnet the solaris box at 4750? What do you see in the rscd.log file on the target when you try to license it?
How are you trying to set the license?
How did you startup the agent on this zone? Did you use the rscd script in the ‘conf’ directory?
What is probably happening is the agent was not started correctly and it’s using the /usr/lib/rsc directory inherited from the parent zone. That is mounted ro and is why you are getting the message when the license.dat is trying to be written to that dir. you need to startup the rscd w/ the correct env vars to read things out of the NSH/conf directory instead.
