Within a task template, you can preset a time out value and a status to put when the time out occurs.
These values are then copied into the task when applying the template.
Within the task, whenever the time out is passed (activate time + time out < current time) and the task is in a status < closed and != pending, it will set the status to the predefined one. this is done via an escalation that runs every 15 minutes.
So I understand what it does; but now I'm trying to understand stand why and when to use it.
I could image that it can be used for automatic tasks? to close them automatically after a while, and after being activated.
Is this correct? are there other usages?
