    Long Text 2000 character limit. When did this change?

      Historically I used a Long Text parameter in my System Packages to insert disk size formating, but I just tried to create a new System Package and got the following error.

      Is this a 8.* feature?

      I need to be able to create LongText fields containing information like:

      <partitioning config:type="list">

        <drive>

          <device>/dev/sda</device>

          <partitions config:type="list">

            <partition>

              <crypt_fs config:type="boolean">false</crypt_fs>

              <filesystem config:type="symbol">ext3</filesystem>

              <format config:type="boolean">true</format>

              <label>/boot</label>

              <mount>/boot</mount>

              <mountby config:type="symbol">device</mountby>

              <noauto config:type="boolean">false</noauto>

              <partition_type>primary</partition_type>

              <size>512mb</size>

            </partition>

            <partition>

              <lvm_group>system</lvm_group>

              <partition_type>primary</partition_type>

              <size>max</size>

            </partition>

          </partitions>

          <use>all</use>

        </drive>

        <drive>

          <device>/dev/system</device>

          <is_lvm_vg config:type="boolean">true</is_lvm_vg>

          <partitions config:type="list">

            <partition>

              <filesystem config:type="symbol">ext3</filesystem>

              <lv_name>rootvol</lv_name>

              <mount>/</mount>

              <size>4gb</size>

            </partition>

            <partition>

              <filesystem config:type="symbol">swap</filesystem>

              <lv_name>swapvol</lv_name>

              <size>4gb</size>

            </partition>

            <partition>

              <filesystem config:type="symbol">ext3</filesystem>

              <lv_name>tmpvol</lv_name>

              <mount>/tmp</mount>

              <size>2gb</size>

            </partition>

            <partition>

              <filesystem config:type="symbol">ext3</filesystem>

              <lv_name>homevol</lv_name>

              <mount>/export/home</mount>

              <size>2gb</size>

            </partition>

            <partition>

              <filesystem config:type="symbol">ext3</filesystem>

              <lv_name>varvol</lv_name>

              <mount>/var</mount>

              <size>max</size>

            </partition>

          </partitions>

          <pesize>4M</pesize>

          <use>all</use>

        </drive>

      </partitioning>

      I suppose I could remove all the formating (move everything left to save on the whitespace chars), but then it wouldn't be very readable.

      Does anyone else have an elegant solution for this?
