what is in the bldeploy log in the <agent install>/Transactions/log directory for the deploy ?

FIrefox.exe is not a msi pacakge, which you can see is this error:

              08/26/11 11:32:12.050 INFO     bldeploy - [1][Firefox Setup 3.0.3.exe] [stdout: 1]

you need to do some research, on google, on how to silently install the firefox package.  once you work that out you can use those instructions in blade.

typically msi files end w/ the .msi extension, not .exe btw.

you need to create the silent installation file (ISS) for setup.exe than create a BL Package or simple File Deploy job with post command.

It would make more sense to use custom software.

Do you have got the silent installation method for installing through “.exe” setup file. For doing silent installation of applications through BladeLogic, you just need the silent installation command and the silent answer file.

Have you tried silent installation using .exe file on DOS prompt..? Try it without BladeLogic and once it succeeds, then plug the mechanism into BladeLogic.

The product vendor of the application you are going to install should have documentation on how to install the product silently.  You need to research that.
