What do you mean ‘different locations’ ?
You want multiple instances on multiple hosts that are located in the same datacenter (you should never put an appserver in a location remote to the database)
I guess what I'm trying to find is a document that would describe the options you have when configuring app server, file server and database. I understand that you can have multiple app servers and I was wondering if you could have a configuration where there are multiple app servers and each app server is located in a different location such as germany, US, Asia. Same kind of questions about file servers and databases. Can you have multiple files servers or multiple databases. If so, what are the constraints?

All bladelogic infrastructure for a single install footprint must be located in the same datacenter. You cannot have appservers across a wan from the database.
You cannot have multiple databases per blade install – 1 db per install. same thing w/ file servers.
Thanks Bill...that's exactly what I needed.
