Double check if the RSCD_DIR property is populated for the Windows Helper.
If that’s not the case, update the properties for the Windows helper.
I am getting this exact error
RSCD_DIR is populated for my Windows helper server.
Can you have multiple windows catalogues that share the same Repository Location?
Yes, you can have more than one Catalog sharing the same repo location. It should not be a problem.
What is the error you are getting ?
Paste it , the complete error from appserver log /job log
This error should be 'ok' and not really something to worry about if the catalog is updating correctly - is the catalog updating correctly?
rohit - why would it not be an issue for the catalogs to share the same location?
The patch catalogues (both of them) do update correctly but I have some bizzare problems.
Patch analysis results differ based on the role that runs them and I can not see why.
Even worse I am trying to remove all catalogues and start again with the correct ACLP but I get error:
access denied PatchDownloadJob.Delete on windows server security patch download.
I have used Update Permissions on the entire PC and applied BLAdmins PatchCatalog.*
The BLAdmins Role has PatchDownloadJob.*
I have run this as BLAdmin user as well as the permissions updates as RBACAdmin.
Support case has been raised.
I believe every catalog creates its working space directory on the catalog destination location.
I think it should not matter if we share the repo location. even the parallel downloads should be taken care of.
Let me know if I am wrong here. I will definitely give it a test run.
