Does ‘locate /opt/nsh/bmc/bladelogic/8.0/NSH/patch/Modules/parseparams.pm’ exist on the appserver?
no, it was working without issue but after re-installing the appserver its not working now. do i need to re-install the VPC ?
Define: Reinstalled the appserver.
If you reinstalled the appserver then you need to reconfigure the perl module stuff.
Did you check for the existence of the file, as I specified in my last post?
no i didnt find it
Follow the directions to install the NSH perl module, then reinstall the VPC.
There’s a blasadmin setting for the perl location, is that set?

You only need Perl on the system and the Perl Location configured properly using blasadmin.
There is no need to install NSH Perl module for VPC to work.,
The reason you are hitting the problem is because you re-installed Appserver and it has now a fresh new NSH directory.
You need to re-install VPC as well, this is a VPC specific local Perl module which is shipped with VPC and resides in the VPC install directory under NSH/patch.
When you say you re-install appserver ? , I assume you mean it’s a new DB altogether.
i re-installed it last month.
everything is ok now, i re-installed VPC but i get a new error
"can't open HOME file /usr/lib/rsc/HOME" for reading ....
anyone knows why ?
When are you getting this error ? in VPC installation ?
