ARERR [330] You do not have write access to field : 102

Details are, field : 13191 and field : 102 are Approval Status and Password on Join form AP:Detail-singature respectively. Permission – Public /Write

Approval Status (7) and Password (102) fields are having “Allow any user to Submit’ property enabled on AP:Detail form.

Though Server Setting – Submitter Mode = Locked, user with Read licenses are not able to approve service request.

    Modifying the arsystem.tag file

1 Open the arsystem.tag file in a text editor.

    The default location is: C:\Program Files\Common Files\AR

    System\Licenses\computerName (Windows) or /etc/arsystem/computerName

    (UNIX).

2 Add the following lines to the end of the file:

    >>> you can find this information in your documentation <<<

    3 Save the file.

4 Restart the BMC Remedy AR System Server process.

Or try to get the file from a "working system"

    HtH,

I am having this same issue on 7.6.04, has anyone been able to find an answer?  I just had BMC doing a WebEx and they were able to reproduce it even in SP2.

    Hi Paul,

I was having the same issue with 7.6.04 (Rather still have it).

When discussed with BMC, it was found out that the changes that are suggested in the thread are done to the license file and which are against BMC licensing and support. This is kinda a workaround but not sure if it works or not. But noone would like to go beyond support of BMC on such issue.

There can be workflow to cheat this.

We were able to identify the root cause and resolve it.  It appears that the permissions on the fields Password, Assignee Group Permissions and Justification on the AP:Signature were set to view and not change.  Not sure what may have caused this, however interestingly enough you can change them in Best Practices Mode even without having an overlay.  Our Admin was able to figure this out.

somehow we checked all the permissions on the form.

But I can try out this again if we run into some similar requirement.

    Thanks for the inputs Paul!
