Since no one answers i assume it is still not possible...
For anyone interested to change it in the DB:
Table is: JOB_RUN_EVENT
Column is: EVENT_TYPE_ID
-2 = Information
-1 = Error
-5 = Warning
I'm not sure what you intend to do here - you cannot change anything in the database to change this behaviour.
Will take this brief moment to advise anyone that may consider dierectly manipulating the database that it may render you in an unsupportrable situation and is not advised unless directed to do so by BMC support.
Right, anyone in need of BMC support should consider this.
Right, I won't change the BL behavoir, but i could change the wrong ERROR or INFO entry into a WARNING entry after BL has written it into its DB.
that really seems pointless to try and maintain.
You could also put a
Echo “WARN: …” in your script output.
Actually we do this.
But the not "echo" generated Log entries do not have our WARN: INFO: ERROR: in front of them.
That is good, if you want to differ between your messages and BL/OS/Script generated messages.
It's not so good, if you want to read these messages autmatically and always have to check what is what and from whom.
I mean, there is a BL Message Type entry. What use is it, if i have to put the Message Type in the Message Text?
You should open a rfe for this and describe the value to having this. mucking around w/ the db is not a supported way to do this and by doing so you run the risk of corrupting your data.
Sadly there already was a RFE and according to the information i got, BMC has cancelled it and will not implement this in the next releases...
Right now we stick to the message type in message text solution,
but ... well, just another workaround.
