Update server property job.
Darrell - I would also recommend having a smart group that catches unlicensed agents, which you can then run a job against trying to license them, followed by another update properties job. This seems to work well!
i am actually working on that. i successfully created the group that catches all the unlicensed servers but i am having some challenges with the autolic script. i'm not quite sure how to utilize the %h parameter to pass the servername to the autolic command line.
if you have an example that would be great.
btw, i can successfully run autolic from an nsh command line so i know that it works, just can't script it.
For server in $@
Autolic username password $server
Our script is:
autolic username password $*"
Yes. That works because the autolic executable takes all arguments after the first two as a tuple and automatically loops the action against every item in the tuple.
can i use this as an "NSH script" job in BL? if so, how do i map the %h variable to $server
i am brand new to BL and NSH so i may be asking a pretty dumb question, but when i create an NSH script / NSH script job and run it it fails. I believe i need to configure the parameters piece to pass the servername to the script but i don't know how to do that
