    Offline Windows Repository - Downloader problem

      Hi everyone,

      I am trying to execute the windows_downloader.bat file provided by BMC to download patches to an offline repository.

      Whenever I execute the downloader it comes back with two lines:

      null

      Downloader finished with return status - 1

      In the downloader.log file I get:

      [27 Jan 2011 10:49:49,513] [main] [ERROR]

      [27 Jan 2011 10:49:49,517] [main] [ERROR] Downloader finished with return status - 1

      My configuration file looks like this:

      <windows-downloader-config>

          <config>

              <!--<proxy-settings>

                  <port></port>

                  <host></host>

                  <username></username>

                  <password></password>

                  <domain-name></domain-name>

                  <proxy-type></proxy-type>

              </proxy-settings>-->

              <temporary-location>PATH</temporary-location>

              <validate-payload-certificate>false</validate-payload-certificate>

              <payload-repository-location>PATH</payload-repository-location>

          <download-request-retries>10</download-request-retries>

          <download-request-timeout>180000</download-request-timeout>

          <downloader-parallel-threads>10</downloader-parallel-threads>

          </config>

          <subscription>

              <products>

                  <include-product>

                             <product-category>Microsoft Windows Server 2003</product-category>

                          <product-category-language>English</product-category-language>

                      </include-product>

              </products>

          </subscription>

      </windows-downloader-config>

      Any Ideas?

          Hi Brandon,

          I cant see an issue in your xml.  Assuming you are not needing a proxy based on your config.

          Are you launching the batch file and calling the config as part of the syntax?

          windows_downloader.bat -configFile downloaderConfigurationFilePath

            Hi Brandon,

            I don't see the payload downloaded lcation

            temporary-location>PATH</temporary-location>

                    <validate-payload-certificate>false</validate-payload-certificate>

                    <payload-repository-location>PATH</payload-repository-location>

            below are the correct ones

            temporary-location>C:\PATH</temporary-location>

                    <validate-payload-certificate>false</validate-payload-certificate>

                    <payload-repository-location>C:\PATH</payload-repository-location>

            Try above setting now & if still these are not working then pleasefeel free to ask?

            Thanks

            Himanshu
