    Domain authentication error: User authentication failed

    Reinhard Vielhaber

      Hi there,

      in BL8.0(SP5) I set up domain authentication and after all I get this "User authentication failed". The "debug=true"-switch in blappserv_login.conf leads to the following in the console.log:

      Debug is  true storeKey false useTicketCache false useKeyTab false doNotPrompt false ticketCache is null isInitiator true KeyTab is null refreshKrb5Config is false principal is null tryFirstPass is false useFirstPass is false storePass is false clearPass is false
              [Krb5LoginModule] user entered username: rv@RVDOM.TEST.DE

      Acquire TGT using AS Exchange
              [Krb5LoginModule] authentication failed

      [04 Oct 2010 21:56:22,222] [Authentication-Service-Thread-2] [WARN] [::] [Appserver] w2k82r.RVDOM.TEST.DE
      [04 Oct 2010 21:56:22,226] [Authentication-Service-Thread-2] [INFO] [rv@RVDOM.RVIS.DE::] [Appserver] user authentication failed: rv@RVDOM.TEST.DE

      On my AD-server (which I set up myself, without being a Win-Admin, so maybe this could be the problem) I can see in the Security-log that there is a login and a logoff (in the same second).

      Does anyone know this behaviour?

      I double checked the password for the rv-user. I put all hosts into the DNS-configuration (that is also like the AD on host w2k8r2). The Windows-host is Windows 2008 R2 - may that lead into trouble?
