I need to create an audit job that checks a service is NOT installed. As part of my snaphot I added the service part from a server that contains the service, i then ran a snapshot against a server where this service was missing. I then ran an audit job, based on this snapshot assuming it would be flagged as failed if the service was found to be installed.
However, the service in the snapshot has a red cross on it suggesting it is missing (which is what i want) however the audit job is also then flagged as failed, even though the result is what I am after.
So, is it possible to do the above, ie run an audit job which fails IF a service exists, or will I need to code it and create an extended object ?
No need for an extended object. Just use a compliance rule.
