The servers are in the database. What group are you looking in to find your server?
The server is not present in any of the groups or smart groups.
But when i tried to add the server it says server alerady exists.
how do i make this reflect in the all servers list or any smart server list.
Server has windows server 2003 OS, and i have smart group for that type of OS its not present.
So i have created a smart group which can have only that server "Name equals <servername>" but its not working.
Is it in the 'all servers' group where the condtions on that group are "NAME does not equal (blank)" (the value field is actually blank)
Even in that group its not present...
What role are you logged in as?
Logged in as BL Admin Role.
I'd open a support ticket about this, they will likely need you to query the database.
Will it works if i delete the database record entry for the hostname and re add the server from the configuration manager.
As this requires to delete the entry in the Prod envi i am not taking risk.
so just need some confirmation if it works.
You could try using the blcli to delete the server
I am new to BL so can u let me know how to delete using BLCLI.
is NSH shell and BLCLI are same?
got confused with things..
Blcred cred -acquire -profile YOUR_PROFILE_NAME -username YOUR_USERNAME
Blcli_setoption serviceProfileName YOUR_PROFILE_NAME
Blcli_execute Server decomissionServer SERVER_NAME
Don't delete the server directly from the database. Check the database record first. There is probably some
IS_DELETED field that you can set to 1.
I have checked and found that the server is existing in the database.
Can you let me know where can i find the option IS_DELETE
Have you opened up a ticket w/ BMC Support on this problem?
