    using agentctl (start|stop|restart) in /etc/init.d/rscd

    R V

      Hi all,

      is there any reason, why the above named command isn't used in the agent-startup-script? I ever wondered why there isn't such thing as "/etc/init.d/rscd restart" possible (yes, I know there's no "restart)"-line in that script ;-) ) - but why?

      One can simply write:

      restart)

        <INSTALL_DIR>/sbin/agentctl restart

        ;;

      And also it could be - on first sight - much easyer to write

      start)

        <INSTALL_DIR>/sbin/agentctl start

        ;;

      stop)

        <INSTALL_DIR>/sbin/agentctl stop

        ;;

      instead of grep-ing and kill-ing the rsc[dw]-processes.

      Any idea?
