    checksum / md5sum directory

I am after created a checksum of a directory, largely by running md5sum on each file, outputting the checksum for each file to a single file and then running an md5sum on that file.  To do this i will need to script it, and return the checksum as an ini file entry or something.

My question is md5sum.exe is installed on the PC as part of the client install, but not on the server.  If I write the script as per above how do you make use of md5sum.exe when BL install does not copy it as part of the agent deployment ?   Would i have to copy it as part of my script first, to each server ?  How does the file checksum function work currently as this does the same thing, just on a single file ?
