Changed fileserver to use dns alias, now the fileserver is unlicensed

      Hi,

We've changed BladeLogic some time ago to use a DNS alias as the fileserver instead of the hostnames. But now we're unable to log on to our application server.

      From the appserver.log we've noticed:

Caused by: com.bladelogic.mfw.util.BlException: com.bladelogic.mfw.util.BlException: Either a file server is not specified or it is not running a licensed agent. Please make sure that a valid file server is specified.
      at com.bladelogic.app.service.file.FileManagerServiceImpl.start(FileManagerServiceImpl.java:164)
      ... 32 more
Caused by: com.bladelogic.mfw.util.BlException: Either a file server is not specified or it is not running a licensed agent. Please make sure that a valid file server is specified.

So it seems the agent is not licensed. In fact the agent is licensed, but on the former hostname ( not the alias). Does anybody have an idea how we can solve this problem?

We also have 2 development environment that are still working, but I'm afraid they will suffer the same problem once we restart the application servers. Also when I license the alias within Bladelogic, what wil happen with the license that is linked to the original hostname.

      Best Regards,
