    problem in application uninstall (JBoss environment)

      Share This:

      Hi,

      in the documentation of the product I found this statement:

      If the Configuration object has the Delete attribute set to "true," Deliver deletes the object on the server.

      I tryed to write an xml configuration file like this, to remove an ear from the "deploy" directory:

      <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

      <Phurnace xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="http://www.phurnace.com/schemas/jboss42">

      <deployed configuration="helloServer3">

      <HelloWorldEar Delete="true" url="deploy/HelloWorldEar.ear">

      <jboss-app url="META-INF/jboss-app.xml">

      <jboss-app>

      <loader-repository>HelloWorldEar:archive=HelloWorldEar.ear</loader-repository>

      </jboss-app>

      </jboss-app>

      </HelloWorldEar>

      </deployed>

      </Phurnace>

      But it doesn't work. What is the correct procedure?

      Thanks

          Hi Stefano,

          In JBoss, our deletes work differently.  You need to create an <uninstalled> section in your xml.  Then, simply move the <HellowWord> element and its childrend to the <uninstalled> section.

          Because emost JBoss users are already familar with the xml config files, we leverage the existing JBoss XML instead of creating our own xml schema to represent JBoss configuration.  For that reason, we do deletes differently in JBoss.
