    Problems synchronizing CMDB > Asset

      Hi,

Doing the synchronization CMDB > Asset by ‘Update Asset UI’, forms are created but the layout is incorrect and there are a lot of fields missing. Watching CMDBSynchronizeUI.log I can see errors when creating reserved system fields, CMDBRowLevelSecurity, CMDBWriteSecurity and DSOUnique fields. Also it indicates that AR System reserved field definition is incorrect.

I am creating classes like existing, with the same permissions.

      Any idea?

      The environment is:

      ARServer 7.5.0 patch 4

      ITSM 7.5.0

      CMDB 7.6.0 patch 1

      Thanks in advance,

      Sergio Tomillero

            Hi Tumbah,

Did you resolve the problem? I go on with it without a clear way to resolve it.

            Kind regards,

              Hello Sergio,

It seemed that for this issue we needed to set the oracle cursor setting to

              similar instead of exact.

We are currently testing if this resolves the issue.

              Kind regards,

                Hi Marco,

We did the same. DBA set Oracle Cursor to SIMILAR and we added the next line in ar.cfg:

                Oracle-Cursor-Sharing: SIMILAR

                but the problem goes on.

Please tell me if you find any solution. I will do the same.

Another option we tested was exporting the views of the AST:parent form, opening this def file exported with a text editor, replacing the name of the form by the child one, saving and importing the .def (that contains the parent form views with the child AST:form_name), but it neither worked.

                Thanks & regards,

                    Hello Sergio,

We enhanced the Fast en List threads on the machine and since then we got

                    rid of the issue.

                          Hereby the things i did:

                              Hello,

Tumbah, thanks, I changed the parameters, restarted server and tested, but it failed again. I have also created new classes and launched the syncronization, but the CMDBtoAsset allways fails.

Jijil, class are created correctly in class manager.

                              So, the problem goes on.

                              Thanks & regards,

                                  Hi,

It is an infrastructure problem. We have moved the AR schema to another Oracle instance and CMDB2Asset works correctly. This new instance is a not-shared one, the former is a shared one.

                                  Thanks & regards,

                                  Sergio Tomillero

                                    Thanks Sergio Tamillero.

Our Environment is also shared in Server Group as well and it does not seems to be working.

I kind of managed to build the AST form by modifying the already Existing AST Class Definition File and importing back with the new AST class Name. Somehow made it work though, I would expect a Response from BMC on this inability of ASSET class generation, we have already created a Ticket to BMC for the same.

                                    Thanks,

                                    Dinesh
